Virtual CIO · IT strategy and budgeting

A virtual CIO: an IT roadmap and budget your board can follow.

Most growing companies need IT leadership, not a full-time IT director. A Missan 365 vCIO sets the plan: what to fix first, what to spend each quarter, which risks matter and how IT supports the business. Backed by 22+ years of IT work and 10,000+ projects delivered since 2004.

Who it's for

Who this is for.

  • Owners and CEOs who sign IT invoices but have no one to tell them what is necessary and what is not.
  • CFOs and finance heads who want a yearly IT budget instead of one-off requests.
  • Companies with an IT person who is good day to day but has no time or remit to plan three years ahead.
  • Businesses facing change a new office, a merger, an audit, a client security demand or a move to the cloud.

Questions

What leadership teams ask about a vCIO.

What is a vCIO?

A virtual chief information officer: a senior IT adviser who plans your technology, budget and risk on a part-time basis. You get IT leadership without the cost of a full-time IT director.

What is the difference between a vCIO and an MSP?

An MSP runs IT day to day: helpdesk, monitoring, patching and backup. A vCIO decides where IT should go and what to spend. Missan 365 provides both, and the vCIO role is part of the quarterly reviews in our managed IT plans.

Can we have a vCIO without your helpdesk?

Yes. Many companies with an in-house IT person use us for strategy, budgeting and projects while their own team handles daily support.

How much does a vCIO cost?

There is no list price. The fee depends on the size of the business, the number of systems and how often you want to meet. After a free assessment you get a fixed quote in writing.

Will the roadmap only recommend things you sell?

The roadmap is written for your business. Where a recommendation needs products or projects, we say so and you can quote it with anyone. Everything we set up is documented and stays in your company’s name.

Can you help with an IT budget for next year?

Yes. A yearly budget by quarter is one of the main outputs, covering hardware refresh, licences, projects and services.
